Mortal Grace
Mortal grace is a handmade black-letter font that takes inspiration from the events and values surrounding the protestant reformation. In 1517 differences in opinion on religious doctrine sparked the protestant revolution and reconceptualized the Catholic idea of good works into an obligation to work diligently to achieve divine grace. Mortal Grace embodies the irony of this concept by portraying the times by their harsh realities rather than their ideals. Poor conditions, corruption, and civil unrest make up the rugged strokes of Mortal Grace.
