The Idea
During my research, I discovered that the majority of harmful carbon waste produced is caused by livestock production, distribution, and consumption. The Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations suggested insect consumption as an ecologically viable alternative. However, there is the problem of convincing the public to try eating bugs. The Grubb brand addresses this environmental problem by introducing insect consumption as a healthy, eco-friendly alternative protein source into a population that otherwise may be opposed to insect consumption. The meal kit would provide ingredients and recipes for insect-based meals as a way of introducing insect consumption to the public.
Stamps
These linocut stamps serve as icons for each of the insect types that make up the primary protein of the meals provided by the meal kit. In this instance, the insects chosen for the project are black ants, cicadas, giant water beetles, grasshoppers, and may bugs.

Grubb Process Book
The purpose of the process book is to take the viewer through the design process from conception, ideation, and execution to the final design and deliverables.
